💫 Just One Good Scenario…
A friendship story. Maybe love. Maybe not. But definitely real.
"Namma friend Suji iruka la... avala pathen da,
Anu started, pulling her slippers off in the sand.
"Good salary la place aairukalam… Ellaroda life la ethachum nadakuthu. Namaku mattum yen da boring ah iruku?"
Siva just smiled. He knew this line.
"Namaku nu time varum, Anu."
Simple. Soft. Reassuring.
Anu and Siva — friends since college. Five years and counting.
Started with bunking labs, pani puri runs, to now sitting through each other’s family drama and relationship traumas.
Still, every Saturday, without fail, they found their way to the beach.
Same sunset. Same spot. Same them.
They often got lost in conversations about life, dating, and the weirdness of being a Gen Z soul with a 90s heart.
"Indha gen Z la enna da dating. Swipe panni love varuma?"
"90s la irundha, adhu tha real love nu feel agudhu da," Siva would say.
Anu would laugh… with a little bit of longing in her eyes.
She had a small crush on him. Not the teenage butterflies kind. The silent, steady kind — the one that creeps in slowly and makes a home.
One Saturday, as they were walking, she asked softly,
"Siva... nama theditu irukra soulmate yengayo irukanga nu nenachitu irukom la... but what if they were right in front of us, and we never noticed?"
Siva didn’t answer straight away. His eyes shifted. A small pause.
"Avanum irukalam... Yaarukku theriyum?"
He smiled, dodged it, and kept walking.
Days passed.
That week, a movie released — a breakup story. They discussed it, laughed over it, cried a bit too.
Work was chaotic. Family issues slipped into casual convos. Life rolled on.
Until one night.
Siva, already drained after messing up a file at work, got seriously yelled at.
He stayed late, tried to fix it — but the weight was too much.
He picked up his phone. He just needed to talk to someone. To her.
Just then, a message from Anu popped up.
“Marriage fix aagiruku da.”

His heart stopped.
That line. Just that. It was enough to crush something inside him.
His chest tightened. Palms sweaty. One drop of tear rolled down before he even realized it.
He watched the video, heart racing.
Anu's brother. His engagement.
Siva exhaled — a big, shaky breath — and slumped into his chair.
He hadn’t even realized how much space she occupied in his thoughts... until that moment.
After that, something shifted.
Their Saturday talks became deeper.
Not flirty. Not dramatic. Just real.
They spoke about relationships.
"What does love look like to you, Anu?"
"Do you believe in marriage?"
"What does your family expect?"
These weren't small talk anymore. This was them opening doors — slow, honest, and uncertain.
One Saturday, as the sun dipped into the sea and the first star showed up, Siva looked at her.
"Anu… nama theditu irukra soulmate yengayo irukanga nu nenachitu irukom la... but what if they were right in front of us, and we never noticed?"
Her smile widened.
"Note ellam panniyachu da… Soulmate konjam tubelight. Athatan ivlo waiting."
🌀 POV:
This could be love.
Or maybe just a beautiful friendship with an almost-love edge.
Maybe one-sided. Maybe mutual.
But the key?
👉 Don't rush. Don't manipulate. Don't scare them into feeling something.
Just say it. Clearly. Kindly.
And even if the answer is “no” — respect the friendship for what it has been.
Not all friendships become love.
But the best love stories often begin as friendship.
And sometimes, that’s enough. ♥️
share it with your friends !
Happy reading !✨
